Jam's baby(ies) bump

Jam is now 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant and is losing her girlish figure, looking outright tubby!  We have not yet increased her food yet, but starting in her 5th week, we will increase her food 50% to help nourish Jam and the growing Rockstar pups.  The pups gain the most weight in the last three weeks of the pregnancy so it is important to make sure the brood bitch is getting enough nutrition.  Other changes that we see are her nipples have gotten very pronounced and she is hungry all the time!

Summit has wonderful ground covering movement, true coming and going, level topline, excellent shoulders, nice substance with beautiful neck, topline and return of upper arm. He has a laid back, very sweet, loving personality, loves to hunt, play, swim and retrieve.

Puppies are expected mid-September. This breeding should produce exceptional show and performance prospects and will be futurity/maturity nominated.

With Memphis visiting, I thought it would be fun to take a quick family portrait and despite the heat, the  dogs put up with sitting for a few minutes while I took a few shots and then were rewarded with treats.

Best of Breed Win for Jam!

 An exciting day at the Shawangunk Kennel Club show, where Jam, CH Grayhart's Purple Haze, JH, CD, OA, OAJ, SD, VX, went Best of Breed, owner/breeder/handled over the #1 ranked Weimaraner bitch in the country.  Thank you to judge Carol Esterkin.  I was proud of how well Jam showed in the extreme heat, with temps almost 100 degrees.

 Jam stacked beautifully in the Sporting Group and gaited nicely around the ring.  It was a very competitive group with some of the top dogs in the country shown by professional handlers.
